Day 1 Arrival in Ilulissat

Welcome to Greenland, transfer by non-privatized coach to your hotel. Installation in this place which offers a breathtaking view of the Ice Fjord, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This city with colorful houses is known for the beauty of its fjord and its huge icebergs which can sometimes reach 15m in height. Here you begin your Winter Quest to Ilulissat.

Day 2 Snowshoe Hiking in Ilulissat

Breakfast at the hotel. The Ilulissat Ice Fjord is as beautiful as it is inaccessible in the middle of the arctic winter. Take this unique opportunity and join a guided snowshoe hike to explore secluded places with incredible scenery.
Discover the incredible Ilulissat Ice Fjord in winter, as we cross snow-capped valleys and walk between mountains, before walking along the Ice Fjord itself, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The experienced guides will choose the route with the best vantage points for tours and photos, manage the route according to weather conditions, explain the flora and fauna, and share stories about Greenland and its people.

Day 3 Snowmobile and Northern Lights observation

Breakfast at the hotel. Snowmobiling has become a very common form of transport in the Arctic countries, as it adapts to a wide variety of terrains and allows quick access to the most remote places. The Ilulissat hinterland offers superb landscapes to discover. Local guides and modern snowmobiles are a great way to explore snow-capped valleys and mountains, frozen lakes, fjords, and ice floes. The Northern Lights are, without a doubt, one of the most amazing experiences of Greenlandic winter. The guide will take you to different viewpoints and teach you about the science and myths of the Northern Lights. Green and red colors dancing in the dark winter sky. Sometimes slow and graceful, sometimes swift and mighty like a huge flame lighting up the night.

Day 4 Dog Sled

Breakfast at the hotel. Join this traditional and exciting dog sledding excursion, where you will traverse the incredible wintery landscape of Greenland, as the Inuit have done for thousands of years. Walk up and down snow-covered hills, through frozen lakes and stop at incredible viewpoints. During the trip there will be a rest to stretch your legs, have a hot drink and pet the dogs. Huskies and sleds have been an important part of Greenland culture and survival for thousands of years. They made it possible to transport people, food and goods during the cold and harsh winters.

Day 5 Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport and departure.
