Day 1 Arrival to Iceland (220km)

On arrival, collect your rental vehicle and head to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Possibility to go through the Blue Lagoon for a moment of authentic relaxation in the hot springs! Optional (contact us): Comfort entry incl. towel & welcome cocktail (dynamic prices). Continuation to the Snaefellsnes peninsula, located about 3 hours northwest of the island. The Snӕfellsnes peninsula is dominated by Snaefellsjökull – nicknamed the “snowcapped volcano” – a glacier-volcano that inspired Jules Verne for his Journey to the Center of the Earth.
Overnight at Hotel Borgarnes or similar.

Day 2 Orca Safari in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Departure for a day rich in explorations. First stop at the famous Kirkjufell, the highest mountain photographed from Iceland. Then, continue to the village of Grundarfjörður from where you will observe orcas during a boat trip (duration: approximately 1 hour). Grundarfjörður has one of the best locations in the world to observe these marine mammals. A very beautiful road, between sea and mountains will then take you to the village of Arnarstapi, an adorable miniature port nestled at the bottom of a cove. Continuation around the volcano by a lava track, through lunar landscapes. Arrival at the village of Hellissandur then at the fishing ports of Ólafsvík and Grundarfjörður.

Day 3 Golden Circle and Waterfalls (460km)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Depart for a full day exploring the Golden Circle and Thingvellir National Park, a place historically and geologically interesting, UNESCO heritage site. You will then see the Hvita, “the white river”, coming from the Highlands of the interior, which turns into a magnificent cataract, Gullfoss, “the golden fall” which rushes into a deep basalt canyon. Walk on the site of waterfalls. Exploration of the site of the geysers where the Strokkur emits a column of hot water 25 meters high approximately every 5/7 minutes. On the field of geysers, you can also observe many natural phenomena: hot springs, mud and bubbling water, pure sulfur…Continuation to the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss, then arrival in the region from Vik.

Day 4 Glacier excursion (250km)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Your first stop will be Reynisfjara, its black sand beach and its curious cliffs. The color contrast is particularly striking in winter. Excursion on the Sólheimajökull glacier with an experienced guide: you climb on foot, equipped with crampons and ice picks to discover the glacier and its crevasses! From the top, the view of the lagoon is magnificent, and you will enjoy the snowy landscapes that surround you.

Day 5 Return to Reykjavik (190km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Skogafoss waterfall on the way Short visit to the small town of Hveragerdi, a place known for its geological activity and hot steam rising from the ground if you wish. Continuation towards Reykjavik and discovery of the Icelandic capital.
Overnight at Hotel Klettur or similar.

Day 6 Farewell

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in the morning before your departure for the airport. Return of the rental vehicle to the airport before departure.
End of stay.
