Day 1 Arrival in Copenhagen
Welcome to Copenhagen, a city known to be one of the most eco-responsible in the world! Easily visited on foot or by bike, it has the advantages of a great cultural capital while retaining its charm of a city on a human scale. Pioneer in innovations in terms of respect for the environment, the possibilities in terms of tourism are just as visible. Arrive at the airport and take the metro to reach the downtown in less than 20 minutes. From there, drop your bags off at your hotel and begin your exploration of the city. Of course you will have the essentials with the colorful Latin Quarter, the shopping streets, Rosenborg castle, but we recommend that you explore areas off the tourist trail such as Norrebro, a trendy district of Copenhagen, Amager beach or the new design district in Nordhavn.

Day 2 Off the beaten track in the Danish capital
Breakfast at the hotel. This is your first day in Copenhagen and what better way to experience it then from the seaside. You will especially experience it with this activity, where you are the captain of your own boat. You will discover the city in a whole new perspective, where you choose your route and pace. Boats that sail on solar, wind and water power so you can enjoy your excursion on the canals of Copenhagen with good conscience. After that, we advise you to go and explore the neighborhood by Refshaleoen. The old industrial district has become one of Copenhagen’s hippest neighborhoods, alternative urban development, festivals and great gastronomy of all kinds. Easily accessible by bike, bus or even water bus. For curiosity, go see Copenhill, the artificial ski slope and the recreational hiking area that opened in the fall 2019, built on top of the new waste management center.

Day 3 Odense
Breakfast at the hotel. Drop off for your first train ride between Copenhagen and Odense (1h30). The term Hygge designates the art of living Danish. Make the most of the moments simple in family or between friends. We leave the capital and we continue to understand why the Danes are always in the top of the ranking of the happiest population in the world. If do not like the idea of visiting a cultural joy where you do not have to fight with an army of tourists in the city? Odense is this destination to go. The Danish city is popular due to its rich history and the traces of Hans Christian Andersen. You can explore the pleasant streets of Odense, enjoy its cafés and disconnect from the rhythm of the big cities. The street market, Storms Pakhus, is a popular place for tasting local specialties and get to know the habitants!

Day 4 Aarhus
Breakfast at the hotel. Train journey to Aarhus (1h30). When we say this we say it like a compliment – Aarhus is tiny! It is a historic town that looks remarkably like a warm neighborhood, where all the biggest sites and attractions are really within walking distance. A local atmosphere! Aarhus has a free program of bicycle rental: you can borrow a bicycle in one of the scattered kiosks in the city and explore all its wonders. We advise you to go to ARoS art museum, which has become iconic to Aarhus, with its incredible walkable rooftop walkway. For the charm of old times, head to the open-air museum “Old Town” a place where you literally can travel through time, soaking up the buildings, atmosphere and lifestyle of the Denmark of yesteryear. Why not also participate in a good deed while discovering the city by kayak. We can (subject to availability) reserve a 2 hour slot for you where you will have the opportunity to pick up garbage in city waters aboard your kayak! This is free and the aim is to raise awareness among people to respect our planet.
Overnight at Comwell Aarhus or similar.
Day 5 Aalborg
Breakfast at the hotel.
Train journey to Aalborg (1h15) Ancient town where Viking ships sailed the Limfjord, Aalborg has become a cultural place with of a spectacular waterfront and buildings
iconic architecture. Colorful city, with its alleys and its paintings
murals, it also houses beautiful examples of Danish architecture as the architectural center
Utzon or the house of music.
We advise you to eat, surrounded by locals, in the old furniture factory converted into a street food market: The lighthouse! If you want to go to the northern tip of Jutland, a train runs every hour between Aalborg and Skagen. Unspoiled nature, white sand beaches bathed in incredible light. Go discover Grenen, the point where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet!
Overnight at Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg or similar.
Day 6 Ferry to Gothenburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Take the train at the end of the morning to Frederikshavn and have lunch before taking the boat to Sweden. Ferry to Gothenburg (3h30). Gothenburg was elected by the Lonely Planet guide, as the most ecological city to visit this year! Gothenburg is a pocket metropolis – you will find almost everything within walking distance. If you want to move around town with the public transport, you can do this with good conscience as it runs almost entirely on renewable energy. The circular economy is only growing and in Gothenburg you will find many shops selling second-hand and vintage clothing. Goteborg has great parks and green spaces! On beautiful summer evenings, it is a pleasure to take a walk.

Day 7 Gothenburg Archipelago
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be experiencing the small islands of the southern archipelago. They are easily accessible with the boats of Styrsöbolaget from the Stenpiren Travel Center. An ideal way to enjoy and discover Gothenburg seen from the water. The complete journey Stenpiren – Styrsö – Donsö – Vrångö lasts about 1 hour and 35 minutes. But we would advise you to stop on one or more islands to enjoy their charm and their specialties. Gothenburg is one of the hottest places in Europe for craft beer and several of the the city’s breweries are some of the best in the world. What could be better after a day of sightseeing.
Overnight at Comfort Hotel Goteborg or similar.
Day 8 Malmø
Breakfast at the hotel. Due to its small size, Malmö is quite easy to explore on foot, but it really is a city built for cyclists with its 500km of cycle paths. You can rent a bike or we can organize a guided tour. Immerse yourself in the green innovation of Malmö by visiting the botanical garden in Augustenborg. Explore the green space on the 9500 square meter roof with 20 areas designed for inspiration, research and education. The roof top includes an urban farm, a test site for future green roofing products and a shelter for biodiversity of rare plant species. Another green space to explore is Slottsträdgården, one of the city’s many parks located behind the Malmöhus Castle and has a garden that cultivates and sells seasonal organic products. At break time, taste the fika. Fika is often translated as “a coffee and cake break”, which is pretty decent, but in reality it’s much more than that. Fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture.
Overnight at Clarion Collection Temperance or similar.
